在俚语里，mood 的意思是“这太有共鸣了”或“我就是这种感觉”。人们常常在表情包、GIF、视频或朋友的吐槽下面，只回这一个词。它也可以当名词用：“that cat is such a mood.”

读法和普通单词一样：MOOD，和 “food” 押韵。它非常随意，很友好，常带一点反讽，但绝不粗鲁。年轻人用得最多，多见于社交媒体和朋友之间的短信。正式写作里别用。

    mood 不是形容词。放在句子里，它前面要加 “a” 或 “such a”。单独作为回复时，直接说 “Mood.” 就行。

    “In a mood” 是心情不好。“A mood” 是有共鸣。所以说错的那个版本，意思就成了你对那些吼叫很有共鸣。

它从哪儿来

  1. 2015 年前后在 Twitter（推特）上，人们开始用 mood 表示“这很有共鸣”。Dictionary.com 说，这种用法要归功于 Black Twitter，也就是这个网站上庞大的黑人用户社群 [1]。没有人知道是谁最先说的。
  2. 2016 年初推特用户已经在发 “big mood”，表示“有共鸣” [2]。
  3. 2017 年末11 月，一位很火的 YouTuber 发推问 “What does big mood mean?”，获得了几千个赞 [2]。12 月，“big mood” 在推特上真正火了起来，到 2018 年初依然很热 [3]。
  4. 现在mood 是表情包下面和群聊里很常见的回复，但没有 2018 年那时候那么新鲜了。

Mood、a mood，还是 in a mood？

这个俚语是从普通单词变出来的。mood 本来指你某一刻的心情。俚语则是指着别人的心情说一句“我也是”。普通的意思依然很常见，而且一个小词就能改变一切：in。

句子意思
“Mood.”（单独作为回复）俚语：我很有共鸣。
“That cat is such a mood.”俚语：那只猫表现出了一种我很熟悉的感觉。
“He’s a mood.”俚语：他特别让人有共鸣。
“He’s in a mood.”标准用法：他心情不好，或者不高兴。
“I’m in a good mood.”标准用法：我现在很开心。
“I’m not in the mood.”标准用法：我现在不想做这件事。

所以，如果朋友说你的猫是 a mood，那是在夸你。如果他们说你的猫 in a mood，那你可能晚点再去摸它吧。
