它只有一個短音節,發音和普通單詞 chill 一樣,比如“a chill in the air”裡的那個。

It’s chill outside, bring a jacket.

那一年,Sugarhill Gang(糖山幫)在《Rapper’s Delight》裡唱了“a time to chill”,1980 年 Afrika Bambaataa 又唱了“chill out” [2]。
  4. 今天Chill 在美國、英國、澳大利亞等地都是日常英語,從“let’s chill”到“she’s so chill”都有。

chill、chill out,還是 chillin’?

chill(動詞)放鬆,或閒待著“Let’s just chill tonight.”
chill out冷靜下來,放鬆“Chill out, it’s just a game.”
chillin’正在放鬆,或正在閒待著“Just chillin’ at home.”
chill(形容詞)放鬆的、輕鬆的,或很棒的“The party was chill.”

“A chill in the air”和“chill the drinks”說的是溫度,“chilly”則是有點冷。
